About me

About me

Katherine Ward is a Canadian novelist, recovering corporate communications professional, and lifelong storyteller who believes the best stories are rooted in relationships, resilience, and a strong sense of place.

Her love of writing started early, from winning childhood writing contests to sending newspaper columns home during a high school exchange experience abroad. After a long career helping organizations shape their stories in the energy and infrastructure sectors, Katherine eventually returned to the kind of writing she loved most: fiction that explores friendship, family, love, loss, and second chances.

She is the author of Another Glass of Tea and Skipping Stones — emotionally rich stories filled with memorable characters, heartfelt relationships, and settings readers want to step into and stay awhile.

When she’s not writing, Katherine can usually be found planning her next travel adventure, hiking a nearby trail, belting out show tunes in the car, reading with a cup of tea nearby, or attempting to keep up with her garden. She lives in Canada, splitting her time between the bustling city of Toronto and the restorative Kawartha Lakes region. Katherine is currently at work on her next novel.
