What can I say? I caught the writing bug early when I won a writing contest for my Dad’s company’s magazine and it continued when I sent a series columns back to the Sarnia Observer sharing my adventure as an exchange student. A long detour in corporate communications in the energy and infrastructure industries came next, helping companies shape their stories.
When my now-grown children got older, the itch to do some personal writing returned and I started a now defunct blog (Act2Scene1.com) in 2014 and was thrilled to be published in the Globe & Mail’s Facts and Arguments column three years later. I published my first novel, Another Glass of Tea, in 2022 and followed it up with my second, Skipping Stones, in 2024.
Now a retired and recovering corporate communications professional, you can find me belting out show tunes in the car or planning my next travel adventure while I’m working on my next manuscript. And if the muse doesn’t strike me, there’s always gardening to be done and a hiking trail around the corner!
